The Beantown Effect

I don’t remember what it’s like to not be sore.
I don’t remember what sleeping in on a weekday feels like, and 4:45 a.m. has become both my most and least favorite time of the day.
I don’t remember a time when I haven’t been callused, bruised, battered, my skin bitten by barbells and burpees at the top of joyless Joy Street.
However, through all of this boot camp madness, I also don’t remember a moment in which I felt like I was anything less than undoubtedly capable of accomplishing all that I set my mind to.
It’s something I’d like to call, “The Beantown Effect.”
